So we're currently in Halifax until tomorrow afternoon, continuing to unpack the apartment, and we are exhausted. It also doesn't help that today it was probably about 30 degrees here, which we Bay of Fundy-ers are NOT used to. We left Evan's parent's house this morning at 6am to get on the road bright and early, and now we are tired and sweaty (the plan was actually to go last night at 8pm after work, but Mum Phinney offered us supper, and we thought it foolish to head out for a 5 hour drive in the thick fog, and at night).
We discovered that we had to rent a storage locker in our building, today, because Evan owns a lot of books. A librarian in training, and I detest the sight of all these books...should I be worried? Probably not. We also had to buy a bookshelf to house the books we do want to keep in our tiny slice of heaven...it is being assembled as I type (can you guess who is doing the assembling?). We just finished having pizza on our brand new dining set, and it was lovely to have a proper place to sit.
Lots of sweat and a trip to Wal-Mart later, this place is actually starting to resemble a cozy place to live!
(And if you're wondering if we saw any "People of Wal Mart" today, we didn't...well, Evan claims he did, but he was just tired and being cynical.)

Looking forward to next weekend and seeing your abode. And of course that's not a real Haligonian in your People of Walmart pic. Haligonians are beautiful!
