Moving On Isn't JUST About Moving

It's been a week since our last blog post, and that's due to a few factors, mainly our work schedules (tourists gotta get their info somehow), and also just trying to get everything ready for the move this upcoming weekend. Also, we haven't been totally sure about what we should write about, but some inspiration has come to mind recently.

Every August for the past 4 years, we have been getting ready for that triumphant return to Sackville, where we knew we would see all of our friends, there would be house parties, the faculty music gala, and lots of fun updates about the Summer months. The Fall fair would be happening shortly after, then Christmas Collegium, reading week, and then Spring...it was all planned out, and all so anticipated. But this time around, there isn't anything to really anticipate, and there won't be those same friends there waiting for us to get into Sackville, with those stories we loved hearing about the Summer. We won't get to go to the faculty music gala, and the party that always happened after. And sadly, we also won't get to Christmas Collegium.

But we will be experiencing new things that we will one day miss, and the nice thing is, we now have a lot more special people to take along with us in our memories, and to have stay with us on our little beige futon, in our little Halifax apartment that houses a lot of love.

  1. I like the photo of all the girls - looks like the Gala Banquet from last fall. We will miss you at this year's gala. Would love to see a picture of your new dining set on the blog.

  2. Awww so true! It's sad to think that we'll be missing all those things for the first time in 4 years, but we have many new experiences events to look forward to too! And we'll have lots to share and talk about when we all get together next :)

  3. So many good points. It's hard to believe that those 4 years went by that quickly... where did the time go? And why did all the people that I love have to go away with it?

Sarah's right though, we have lots to look forward to so that at the next music wedding (because in my dream world there will be 2 every summer for the next 100 years), wherever/whoever's it is, we'll have lots to catch up on. And we're only a facebook message away from eachother now, anyway :)
