Exploring Halifax: Day 4

Ok, this heat will not QUIT it. Today felt like the worst day for some reason, but tomorrow it's going to be about the same. We are actually excited for Earl to come, because that means rain. Cool, cool rain.

We took the Spring Garden route today to go back to MEC, so that Evan could get that bike fender that he had been wanting. It was actually a relatively short walk to Spring Garden, and we stopped to snap a picture of the nearby cemetery along the way.

Once we arrived on Spring Garden, we took advantage of the air conditioning in all the little shops. We stopped into a little private book store, and picked up a book we'd been looking for for a while now, titled "Sex at Dawn" by Christopher Ryan-a great read so far! We finished Spring Garden, then found ourselves down at the Black Market, where Jackie had been before, but Evan had not. A definitie must for female shoppers visiting Halifax!

We explored that whole area, and found ourselves back down in the wharf area (we live THAT close!!!), and decided that, before heading to MEC, we needed to find a pub to have a drink and grab an appetizer. Yes, you guessed it, Evan got Guinness, and Jackie got a little tipsy (again).

The pub was 100% Irish, and was called "The Old Triangle", or something to that affect. MEC was our next stop, then it was onto Sobeys to buy some supplies for Hurricane Earl, and then we headed home for an evening of laundry, and peanut butter sandwiches for dinner (because cooking is out of the question)
